Random sounds: David regularly creeps players out by playing random bumps, bangs, screams, whispers, and other startling noises.Stalking: David's most common scare-tactic is simply staring at them from an unreachable area, usually going out of sight when they look away to see him vanish.Teleportation/Noclip: David can go literally any where he wants through console teleportation or noclip and could also teleport players anywhere he wants, usually in locked rooms where he corners and kills them or creeps them out by loudly knocking on the door.Macros: Using macros, David can open player's CD drives to creep them out.Kill binds/Insta-kills: This also means regular players are invincible to David, so it is set up so attacking players instantly had the console kill them through suicide binds.Since Sven-Co-op doesn't allow friendly fire, this makes David invincible to other players. Invincibility: Despite David obviously being not very friendly to regular players, he's still technically on their team.Cocyx/David's abilities and scare-tactics include: At random moments, Cocyx gave himself a zombie David model and used both his coding and admin abilities to haunt, stalk, and freak out the players as they try to beat AoM. Instead of being the protagonist, he's portrayed as an antagonist in the servers. On Cocyx's and Zorbos' AoM servers, David has a very different role. In the actual Afraid of Monsters mod, David Leatherhoff is the main protagonist and player-character of the game, being a troubled and hoodie'd young man who goes to Markland Hospital for rehab against his drug addiction only to wake up in a nightmarish and twisted world of monsters that he must gun down. The concept of Leatherhoff was eventually assumed on Zorbos' AOM:DC 24/7 Server three years after the original's shut-down.
